Fuller Village has been proud and honored to host an unrivalled array of educational and artistic events that are open to our residents and the public as well. From book launches and discussions by local authors to musical and theatrical performances, there is always something new to discover and experience and enjoy at Fuller Village. 

Here’s a sampling of the enrichment activities you can enjoy at Fuller Village:

  • Brandeis Prof. Richard Brabander of Bridgewater State University leads a monthly discussion on history, politics, government and current events. 
  • Bridgewater State University History Professor and professional Archaeologist Paolo Di Grigorio present 2 lectures a month discussing a wide variety of topics of historical and cultural significance. 
  • Designer and Art Therapist Madeline Lutdke leads classes in art history and appreciation, drawing for pleasure, and creative exploration. 
  • Amherst Writers and Authors Affiliate Kathleen Olesky facilitate workshops in creative and memoir writing and poetry. 
  • Classes in sketching, painting, basket weaving, stained glass, quilting, weaving, creating unique sea glass creations and many more are taught by talented local artists and craftspeople. 
  • Master gardeners from The Massachusetts Horticultural Society visit Fuller to guide residents in growing indoor terrariums and maintain their outdoor gardens, and local naturalist Jack Lash leads guided birdwatching and wildlife tours in Spring and Fall.  
  • Professional Chefs visit campus to share new culinary experiences like wine tasting and appreciation, chocolate and coffee taste tests, and nutrition workshops.  
  • Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center physicians come to campus regularly to discuss important topics in senior healthcare; treating hearing loss, lower back pain and other topics related to aging, and holistic health experts also visit to share information about new technologies that help residents live better longer.
